New MKS 200 Connectors

A new range of miniature and robust metal shell connectors are soon to be available from Teledyne Impulse. The design is based on the successful Titan series and is being launched as the MKS 200 series. It will be available as a 5 and 7 way dry mate connector and a 4 way wet mate connector with contact sizes from #22AWG to #26AWG. The series are rated at 10000psi mated with an open face rating of 5000psi for the bulkhead.

This connector series delivers a robust metal shell configuration with considerable track record in an extremely compact size that addresses the relentless market drive towards miniaturisation. 


Cathodic Delamination

PDM are carrying out a study of cathodic delamination and other related issues in collaboration with Portsmouth University. The object of the study is to examine the phenomena involved and to optimise surface preparation & bonding.

Custom analytical techniques and trials are being used to study material performance. Substrate preparation, primers and elastomers are being evaluated as part of this work.

The stability of moulded assemblies under different electrical potentials and degradation due to micro-organisms is also being examined.
