PDM Neptec has over 25 years experience in connectors and cables for underwater and harsh environments. During this time we have worked with customers to engineer connectors, harnesses and penetrators that meet their specific needs.
We have developed solutions for commercial and military applications using our core skills in mechanical design, electrical and optical engineering and the selection and use of materials for underwater applications:

Project Management
PDM provide total solutions to our customers' connector, cable assembly and connectivity projects. The engineers will design, manufacture, and test to prototype to ensure the final product supplied meets the projects specifications. Current and past projects include:
- Navigation buoy electrical cubicles
- Special underwater electrical (including high voltage) connectors
- Water blocked penetrators
- Polyurethane encapsulated sensors and transducers
- Submarine communication cable assemblies
- Underwater cable bend control devices
- Cable strain termination
Fibre Optics
PDM provide their own range of Omega fibre optic and electrical underwater connectors. The fibre optic range has been developed in-house using the vast engineering experience within the Design & Application Department.
Cathodic Delamination
PDM have recently completed a KTP investigation of the subsea industry problem of cathodic delamination. The testing of the most reliable primers for the metal elastomer bond is leading to continual improvements in production methods.
